Vic: Search resumes for camper
MELBOURNE, Aug 22 AAP - A full-scale search for a Melbourne man lost in rugged bushland
in eastern Victoria for two days has resumed this morning.
A police spokesman said the dog squad had joined the search for the 35-year-old man
who failed to return from a short walk while camping in the Gippsland area.
Local police, search and rescue squad officers, State Emergency Service personnel and
the police helicopter are combing the area around Little River Falls.
The Pakenham man had been camping with a friend at Wulgulmerang, north of Buchan, when
he left the campsite about 10.30am (AEST) on Sunday.
He had no food but access to water in a creek, the spokesman said.
